The New Art Exchange Corner Cafe (which is entirely plant-based) puts on a community meal on the first Thursday of every month, from 5pm till 7. This is a continuation of their earlier community meals but now each has a focus on the cuisine of a particular country, and is paired with a relevant film.

Pay what you want or can afford - donation rather than set price. Drinks are generally not part of the deal but can be bought for their usual prices. Note: it's best to get there early rather than late, to be sure of getting a meal. And unfortunately it can get crowded in the cafe and we may need to share a table with others not in the group, and be mindful of others needing space.

April's meal: Ethiopia

Enjoy plant based dishes every first Thursday of the month

At Corner Café, we serve up plant-based dishes from a different culture on the first Thursday of every month

This month we are excited to present an evening of Ethiopian food for you to enjoy

Meals are served from 5 pm and drinks are available to buy at the café

Everyone is welcome – no one turned away for lack of funds. Sit down, enjoy a great meal and get to know your local community

Please note that The Community Kitchen operates on a first-come, first-served basis. If you prefer not to donate via Eventbrite, you are still very welcome to attend without a ticket

Booking a ticket through Eventbrite helps us estimate attendance and promote the event, but it does not guarantee that food will be available. We prepare a limited number of portions in order to minimise food waste. To avoid disappointment, we recommend arriving early

Our food is always vegan-friendly at Community Kitchen events and allergy information is available on request. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have
