Masca, Not Soup and Cough Drops at JT Soar

The last Buttonpusher promoted gig of 2025, and this one is a cracker of a lineup.

MASCA - trio from Bristol, their Spotify bio describes them as sounding like "the awkward third-wheel at a Marina and the Diamonds and No Doubt date". which is good as I was struggling to describe them lol as always with Buttonpusher there's a bit more going on, I detect more than a hint of Cardiacs layered into their lush pop-rock sound with gorgeous vocals. One to watch for sure catch them in a small venue while you can!

NOT SOUP Birmingham 4 piece "serving up a blend of prog math, psychedelia and obscurity" according to their Spotify bio. in other words, right up my street. Amazing sounding band!

Cough Drops - a relatively recently formed Nottingham group, post grunge / angry girl. Sounds good to me
