More information:
You are invited to join us for our next Retreat Day—a full day of relaxing deep meditation, gentle teaching about mindfulness, and periods calm and serenity in which you can unwind and de-stress… all the company of a great bunch of like-minded people.
It would be great to have you with us (either in-person or online via Zoom) if you’re free and fancy joining us!
Our Retreat Days take place in a truly beautiful (and a very serene and peaceful) venue—one which it is really easy for everyone to get to in-person as it’s tucked away, very discretely, in the heart of NG5. (Parking facilities and good public transport links are conveniently on-hand.)
The day will be held on Saturday 21st March and it will run from 11am to approximately 4pm.
If you’re attending in-person…
Please arrive a little early so that you have time to get comfy and settle in before we begin.
There is ample car parking close by and bus stops serving key bus routes in and out of the city centre are on hand.
Please bring an ample packed lunch with you. Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day, as always, but there are no convenient cafes, restaurants or shops close by.
The Retreat Day itself will consist mostly of alternating 20-minute periods of:
- Guided meditation
- Gentle teaching about mindfulness and meditation
- Some time for silent reflection and relaxation (during which you are welcome to move about, wonder in the grounds and garden, or sit in the kitchen or lounges.)
While the day itself will not formally be a ‘silent Retreat’, everyone is asked to play their part in maintaining a calm, relaxed and contemplative atmosphere throughout the day, and you are asked to take care to respect other peoples' space and solitude – particularly if it is clear that someone is seeking some time for themselves, or wishes to engage in some quiet reflection. (There will be a comfortable lounge area available for socialising during the breaks, for those who want this, plus lots of quiet spaces – including a comfy, silent lounge – for those seeking peace and calm.)
