Tired all the time? Stressed-out and frequently frazzled? Does your life feel permanently over busy... and do you find yourself often anxious, exhausted, and irritable as a result? Well, then this week's online Thursday meeting is for you!

The pressures and hectic pace of modern life mean that, for most of us, constant busyness and a haunting feeling of overwhelm are always with us—and they often overshadow us and stop us being able to enjoy our lives. What's more, all this is a powerful driver of anxiety and depression.

So, in this week's meeting we'll be looking at some very practical ways to break free from the excess of stress, exhaustion, and overwhelm in our day-to-day lives—thereby transforming our everyday experience in truly positive ways, enabling us to escape from much of the tension, anxiety, and draining over-striving that so easily tends to dominate our days.

Meditation and mindfulness has always taught that the art of both genuine achievement and finding real joy in life is to learn how to move away from unhealthy "over-striving"—and, instead, discovering the art of stepping into a more balanced way of living (one that requires we discover the secret of "healthy effort" as opposed to "over-striving").
This can sound like an impossibly proposition—especially in our modern, hectic, high-pressure world—but both top psychologists and leading contemporary meditation teachers insist IT IS PERFECTLY POSSIBLE to do, even today amidst our super fast lifestyles.

We'll be exploring all this in this week's meeting, with a view to gaining crucial insights into how we can all learn to rebalance our lives in healthy and rewarding ways. We'll hear from THREE leading experts on this topic, who'll explain how this re-balancing can indeed be done (even amidst the pressures of modern life), and our featured teachers will share their top tips and recommended techniques with us.

During the meeting we'll hear from the Zen meditation teacher (and top business coach) Marc Lesser, the celebrated psychologist and acclaimed academic Bethany Butzer, PhD (who focuses on this exact topic in her groundbreaking research work), and also the celebrated social researcher and expert on human behaviour, Brené Brown.

In the course of this week's meeting, Marc, Bethany and Brené will share their expertise and guidance with us in some short but inspiring video lessons, and Shaun Glossop (a respected local Mindfulness teacher and a highly experienced meditation practitioner, who is our Group leader) will guide us through this important topic in a grounded, practical and easy-to-understand way.
Plus, of course, as part of the evening, we'll join together in several periods of guided meditation, including practices that directly relate to the lifestyle approaches we'll be exploring in the course of the evening.
