In our online Thursday night meeting this week we'll be devoting the whole evening to an in-depth exploration of the ways in which we can liberate ourselves from the oppressive tyranny of our "inner-critc"—and thereby free ourselves from the emotional pain and bad feelings that arises from harsh self judgement and excessive, self-critical, negative thinking.

In the course of the meeting we'll be looking at how our automatic thought patterns can work in ways that serve to diminish us, hold us back in life, and even harm us, and we'll learn about the powerfully effective techniques offered by Mindfulness that can bring about a swift change in the way we perceive ourselves (and others) - so liberating us from the emotional pain, distress and tendency to behave in self-limiting ways that often arises from severely self-critical thinking.

During the meeting we'll hear tips, advice, teaching and powerful insights from Jack Kornfield (a celebrated Psychotherapist and a trained Buddhist monk), Sharon Salzberg (a distinguished Mindfulness and meditation teacher), and the leading contemporary teacher of meditation, Eckhart Tolle. We'll also explore three key strategies for "taming the inner critic", learning some meditation-based practices that can be used to reduce our tendency to be self-critical and self-judgemental—practices that we can then take away and begin to use immediately in our everyday lives.

As the evening unfolds Jack, Sharon and Eckhart will all share their wisdom and expertise with us in some short but powerful (and empowering) pieces of video teaching, and the evening will be hosted, as usual, by Shaun Glossop (our group leader, who is a noted local Mindfulness teacher and a highly experienced meditation practitioner). Shaun will guide us thorough the night's topic in a grounded, practical and easy-to-understand way.

In addition, the meeting will, of course, also include some other periods of blissful and relaxing guided meditation.

So join us ONLINE this Thursday for a great evening of Mindfulness...
