Beginning With Terraform with Chris Emerson

What we'll be learning:

This workshop aims to introduce Infrastructure As Code through Terraform, a tool from Hashicorp that aims to give provider-agnostic support for this purpose. Participants will be able to learn how to get started using Terraform with AWS, or any other supported platform, in order to implement Infrastructure as Code on their own projects.

Chris is a Software Developer at BJSS specialising in PHP web applications. He has worked for a variety of companies over the past decade or more since graduating from Nottingham University, a mixture of web agencies and software houses. He is particularly interested in functional programming, devops with AWS, TDD and automation of workflows.

1. Install Terraform for your OS from the website - https://www.terraform.io/downloads.html
2. If you want to follow along using AWS, have an account available to use or set one up at https://aws.amazon.com/
3. If you'd rather use a different platform, have a suitable account at one of them - full list available at https://www.terraform.io/docs/providers/index.html
