Rob van Tol will be giving us a talk called "Awkward Stakeholders and How To Handle Them".
"Nothing can make an otherwise promising project miserable than a difficult stakeholder. As a consultant and a psychotherapist, I'm going to look at an awkward squad of difficult to work with character types. As it would be unprofessional to use living examples, I'll use my interest in military history to present a range of generals you would never ever want to serve under. I'll show you their flaws and how they invite certain responses. Then look at your options for behaving differently with each one. There will be an opportunity for you to discuss your own experiences and share your skills and tips for dealing with those who think they know better than you, despite you being the actual expert. "
