Details

Kickstart your day on the 19th March with an early morning 'before work' shot of technology-focussed talk and chat where we will be hosting Gavin Campbell on "Putting the Engineering in Data Engineering: Continuous Delivery Featuring Databricks Asset Bundles"

This will be a 'hybrid event' - both in-person at Fothergill House Nottingham, and available to join online too. Those who mark themselves as attending will be sent a link to join the webinar closer to the time if you're unable to join us for breakfast personally. You are welcome to join us at Fothergill House from 7am. The links will also be made available via social media posts so make sure you follow us on LinkedIn and X to keep up to date.

About the talk
This talk will explore how the principles and tools of Continuous Delivery, traditionally associated with software development, can have huge benefits for Data Engineering teams. We'll discuss the evolution of working practices in Data Engineering, and show how modern deployment practices can increase reliability and reduce lead times. We will demonstrate these principles using Databricks Asset Bundles to manage an Azure Databricks Project, but the techniques illustrated should be applicable across a range of platforms and tools.

About the speaker
Gavin is a Data Engineering Consultant with a particular interest in bringing the practices of modern software development to the field of Data Engineering.
