## Notts Techfast 2026: a relaxed kick-off to pick your brains

Let’s start 2026 the easy way: breakfast and a friendly chat with local tech folks.

This month isn’t a formal featured talk. It’s a low-stress, in-person “kick-off” session where we’ll gather ideas and shape what Notts Techfast should look like this year - topics, speakers, and format.

### What we’ll do (simple + structured)

• Quick hellos with breakfast
• Fireside chat or if there's enough people, small-group chats (nothing intense)
• A bit of dot-voting to spot the strongest ideas
• Leave with a clear shortlist of:
• topics people actually want
• speakers you’d love to hear from
• whether we stick with featured speaker + networking (or tweak it)

### What to bring

If you can bring one topic idea and ideally one speaker suggestion (a person/company/community), perfect.
If you’ve got nothing ready — also perfect. You can just turn up, listen, and add your vote.

### Why in-person?

This is the sort of session that works best face-to-face: quick conversation, easy energy, and you’ll help set the direction for the year.

Hosted as usual at CGI’s Nottingham office in the large open social space — we’ll have hot drinks, pastries and fruit juice ready for you.
