Let start off our groups first mindful eating journey with a FUN-ducational activity! As a member of our group, you will receive a page from the Mindful Eating coloring book to kick things off. No boring lectures, no awkward "first-time" introductions. This group is meant to change the way we eat for the rest of our lives so it's got to feel welcoming, joyful, and full of great expectations. :)
Expect to meet for 90 minutes. During that time, we'll color together as we learn the principles of mindful eating, the difference between physical and emotional hunger, and how to feel full with less food. Be prepared to bring your favorite food to future meetups because practice is everything! We'll be eating off small plates, timing ourselves (in a good way) and learning what properly chewed food should feel like in our mouths before swallowing.
Mindfulness is all about practicing in a non-judgmental space so be ready to lend support as well as receive it. No criticism allowed at our meals, just curiosity about your own eating habits and acceptance of all styles and preferences.
This meetup is for anyone who wants to deepen their self-awareness and transform their relationship with food. Whether you are struggling with emotional eating, habitual overeating, or simply want to develop a healthier mindset around food, this group is for you. Join us and learn to savor each bite, break free from mindless eating, and cultivate a more balanced and nourishing approach to food. Let's support each other on this journey to a longer, healthier life.
What to bring to this first meetup: coloring pencils or crayons. Sign up soon because the group will be small to keep it comfortable. But if you can't make it this time, feel free to join the general group and we'll keep you on a list for other meetings.
