Let's journey back to the start of anime! This is the first Astro Boy TV series, from 1963. Black and white, baby!
Many consider Astro Boy the first anime series (and I agree). Watch the anime medium take form in Astro's kinetic animation style, and watch the birth of one of the most popular characters in modern Japanese history.
It's fairly violent, so it's not suitable for very young kids (say, preschoolers), but other than that it's fine. We'll be presenting this one in the English dub, because most of the Japanese dub was lost.
