EL: Internet of Things (IoT) using Arduino

Internet of Things (IoT) using Arduino to push data to the cloud. This would allow you to collect sensor data like vibration, temp, door closed/open, pressure, etc and then push that data to a web portal over wifi. Using really inexpensive hardware like the ESP8266 you can web enable nearly anything! This class will teach you how to setup an ESP8266 and a sensor and push that data to a web portal to store and visualize your data.

This is a hands on class. We'll provide the hardware so you can learn to connect and code your IoT device. A few example sensors will be provided, but you may also bring a project to ask about after class. Some Arduino experience is suggested but not required.
