Skill level: Beginner/ Intermediate class
An introduction to some of the hacks and tricks from a crocheter who created all sorts of items from garments to toys for 20 years before learning to read patterns. Use increases and decreases not written in patterns; learn to improvise to make things work when your gauge doesn't match the chart to get from point A to point B. You will attempt to make botanical shapes without a provided pattern during the class.

Homework: Look up crochet charts/review at least chain, sc, and dc so you can sketch out small patterns if you want to plan out your project.

Class materials: Bring crochet hook of appropriate size that you prefer to work with worsted weight yarn, and 2-3 colors of smooth solid colored yarn, acrylic or wool preferred scraps, at least 20 yards of each.

Class handouts will be provided.
