AC: Jewelry Making: Halloween Dolls

Get ready for Halloween or Day of the Dead by making colorful jewelry to wear or to give as gifts. After choosing your colors and beads, you’ll make tassels and use basic jewelry tools to assemble the “dolls”. Go home with a doll pendant necklace on a black satin cord and a pair of earrings. (The doll pendant measures about 3.5”, and the earring dolls measure 2”-2.5”, not including ear wires).

Prerequisite: Good eyesight is a must---bring your close-up glasses!!! Wire-working experience is not required.

All tools and materials are provided, including wire, findings, beads, fiber, and charms.

Students will learn how to:
· Make tassels for use in jewelry
· Use basic jewelry tools
· Use headpins, eye pins and jump rings to assemble components
· Form simple wire loops
· Assemble various components into final pieces
