AC: Jewelry Making: Wire & Beads for Beginners

Want to create simple jewelry, but aren’t sure where to start? If you’re an absolute beginner, this hands-on class is for you. Just bring yourself -- we provide ALL the tools and materials you'll need, at no additional cost.
*** I'll have beads in lots of colors - including Halloween hues! ***

You’ll learn all about the basic tools and materials while making several bead “dangles.” You’ll create up to three finished pairs of earrings to take home – or make zipper pulls or a purse or necklace dangle instead if you prefer.

Bring reading glasses if needed.

Students will learn how to:
· Use chain-nose, round-nose, and cutting pliers
· Cut wire safely
· Open and close jump rings properly
· Use headpins and eye pins to thread and capture beads
· Form simple wire loops and wrapped wire loops
· Know when and how to use split rings
· Assemble various components into final pieces
