MS: Young Women in Skilled Trades - Welding and Woodworking Workshop

Details
In this two day class, young women who are interested in learning about pathways to the skilled trades can practice hands-on skills and meet mentors in a variety of fields, from STEM to designers to craftspeople. Within a small cohort, young tradespeople will get personalized instruction and mentorship under our workforce development (WFD) program.
During the hands-on portion, the attendees will learn how to weld and grind steel safely, measure, cut and finish wood for fine woodworking and utilize computer aided design to manufacture 3D printed parts.
All materials and supplies will be provided. Lunch is also included both days.
We are able to offer this low price thanks to a generous grant from VELA Education Fund, a national nonprofit organization focused on out-of-system learning opportunities. Please contact us if you need further financial assistance.
