Introduction to Nostr (Workshop-style)

For our 2nd meetup, we'll do a series of presentations (workshop style) on the general theme of Introducing Nostr. Since Nostr is a fast-growing evolving landscape, there's always new things to talk about. Our presentations will be tailored to folks who are brand-new to Nostr.

Arun and Dustin will kick off the event with a general introduction of Nostr, and then we will various other speakers (TBD) show off their favorite aspects of the ecosystem.

We are looking for speakers to talk/demo for 5-10 minutes on a client or app feature that they like to use! This will be a small, welcoming audience so don't be shy :) Please reach out if you'd like to talk or demo something you like about Nostr.

It will be a good idea to bring a computer of some kind to play with Nostr apps as folks talk about them. Consider bringing a smartphone and computer so you can try out different clients / features. Some Nostr clients are primarily web based. Some clients only work on certain operating systems (i.e. Amethyst only runs on Android).

The main event will be from 6-8pm EST. We expect some folks may choose to get food / drink after the event, so stick around if you'd like to chat more!

Venue UPDATE: We will be meeting at the Oakton Public Library. The entrance is on the left when you are facing the main entrance.
