Share the Love!
Details
In this Valentine's cardmaking lab, we will come together to share techniques using simple art supplies and things you have on hand (like Neuland supplies ;).
If you have a clever Valentine's idea or want to practice presenting online, here is your chance!
Heather will show how to make a simple Valentine…the same approach, 3 ways. Pick one or more of these mediums to work with. We will start simple and build on each technique.
Sarah will show how to make and decorate simple cut paper shapes that can be glued to cards to give your Valentine a dimensional look.
Here's what you'll need:
For Heather's Valentine's:
Fast way #1
• Neuland outliner (any nib) or 1SK (SketchOne or FlexOne)
• 1-3 colored markers (depending on the size you are working, any color)
Fun way #2
• Neuland refill ink (your favorite color or colors)
• Neuland Outliner (choose your favorite nib)
• salt
Meditative Way #3
• Watercolors (any kind, Prang for kids works great!)
You will also want to have:
• Watercolor or mixed media paper that works well with wet media (I will be working in whole sheets and have some cut into small squares that fit onto the card)
• brush
• water
• optional: dropper
• optional: mixing tray or glass/ceramic plate
• optional: washi or masking tape
• paper towels
• Pencil and eraser
• ruler or straight edge
• Neuland SketchOne (any size)
• Cardstock to make the card
• Envelopes or make your own
• Gluestick or double-sided tape
For Sarah's Valentine:
