In times of complexity and rapid change, facilitation is the skill we need most. Join master facilitator Rae Ringel for an interactive NOVA Scribes session exploring why facilitation matters now—and how clarity of purpose can help you navigate any room with confidence.
Rae will guide participants through three levels of purpose:

• Personal purpose – How you show up as a facilitator. Are you playing to win or just playing not to lose?
• Purpose of facilitation – Why this practice is more vital now than ever before.
• Purpose in the room – How to design toward a clear North Star, and when to pivot in real time as energy shifts.

This workshop will be dynamic and participant-driven. Rae will invite attendees to choose topics in the moment, following the energy of the group. You’ll leave with practical tools for designing with purpose, responding to ambiguity, and reading the room with agility and presence.

Rae Ringel is an executive coach, facilitator, and founder of The Ringel Group. She teaches facilitation and leadership at Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership and the University of Virginia. Known for her engaging, experiential style, Rae helps groups and leaders thrive in complexity through purpose, design, and presence. She is also a frequent contributor to Harvard Business Review.
