Let’s Letter Together + NOVA Scribes
Details
Join lettering artist and graphic recorder Heather Martinez and NOVA Scribes for two hours of creative exploration, shared practice, and fresh approaches to making letters.
Heather brings a playful, practical perspective to lettering, drawing on her work as a visual practitioner, artist, and teacher. Her approach connects clear communication with expressive possibilities. Discover how letters can convey both information and character.
Together, we’ll explore ways to bring energy and individuality to our lettering while keeping readability in mind. With curiosity and experimentation guiding our practice, we’ll consider how small changes in letterforms can create new possibilities for the words we put on paper.
This workshop will offer NOVA Scribes members a look inside Heather Martinez’s Let’s Letter Together practice, where practical lettering skills meet creative exploration. Heather will introduce her approach to developing personal style and making letters both expressive and readable. You'll get a taste of the lessons, prompts, and shared learning that shape her online lettering community.
Whether you’re developing your lettering practice or looking for a fresh perspective on familiar forms, come enjoy the inspiration of lettering in good company.
