Waredaka Brewery Company (Laytonsville, MD)

Details
For something different, let's head out to Montgomery County for a sampling of beer, hard lemonade, and hard shandy at Waredaka Brewery. This looks like a fun place with fantastic drink and food menus.
"In 1932, R. Beecher Butts started a camp for boys in “rural” Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. Then in 1953 the camp moved to its current location in Laytonsville, MD and became a co-educational residential camp. That camp was known as Camp Waredaca (WAshington REcreational DAy CAmp), and for the following four decades of service, hosted thousands of area campers.
The Farm slowly transitioned away from camp life to become what is presently one of the area’s best equestrian eventing barns and riding lesson facilities. The descendants of Beecher have continued this tradition of kids, horses, and family.
In December 2015, descendants of Beecher Butts, came together to open Waredaca Brewing Company (WBC) -- the first farm brewery in Montgomery County, MD. They built the Tap Room in Camp Waredaca's dining halls, using the barn wood to create our bar and tables. Each beer made on-site is named after the family, the stories and the horses of Camp Waredaca and Waredaca Farm."
Weather permitting, we will be sitting outdoors.
