The Profected ASC & Lord of the Year

This lecture introduces a simple and powerful Hellenistic technique that is also found in the Tajaka Branch of Vedic Astrology, and yet is missing from our modern astrological analysis. The Profected Ascendant is a type of direction that advances at the rate of one sign per year. I’ll quickly point out a few different ways it is used to determine the Lord of the Year. Then I will show you how to use the Profected Ascendant and Lord of the Year in the natal and solar return charts. Through theory and application in several Western chart examples you will learn this simple yet powerful ancient technique that will enrich and enhance the accuracy of your annual forecasts for clients – no matter what style or era of Astrology you practice.

Bio:

Julene Packer-Louis is a graduate of the International Academy of Astrology, Dipl.IAA, where she has been teaching Western Astrology since 2000, Vedic Astrology since 2012, and has been the CEO since 2009. She obtained her ISAR-CAP after their first testing in 2005 and obtained Jyotish Visharadha certification in the fall of 2014 through the Council of Vedic Astrology.

She is the Sky Watch columnist for The Mountain Astrologer and her work appears in the multi-authored book Transpersonal Astrology: Explorations at the Frontier.
