The Class Detail
+++++++++++++++++++++
Every season I get asked a number of times about the mechanics of bicycle gears and how to use them. For this class you DON'T have to bring your bicycle as I will have two bikes with me to use for demonstration purposes (one hybrid and one road bike).
I will put two bikes on trainers so you can see how the gears and derailleurs work in real time as well as use that setup to explain some other gear concepts (as listed in the TOPICS section above) and answer any additional questions you may have.
I will also explain the proper placement of your clips onto your bike shoes as well as go over very basic "how your body should fit on your bicycle" geometry rules of thumb.
- NOTE 1: You may want to bring a notebook and pen to write stuff down.
- NOTE 2: If you wear clips, you might want to bring your bike shoes.
See you there!
