• LEVEL: Beginner/Medium level from a mountain biking perspective.

• DISTANCE: ~10 miles
• TERRAIN: dirt and gravel single-track trail. Some tight, switchback turns, roots, and moguls/rollers, tabletops, etc...
• NOTES:
  (1) Show up with FULL water bottles
  (2) Rocks and Roots, e.g. normal NoVA mountain biking :) . Some moderately steep hills and switchback turns.
  (3) One porta-potty at the parking area.
  (4) NO SKINNY TIRES / ROAD BIKES. BIKE WITH AT LEAST FRONT SUSPENSION RECOMMENDED.

The Ride : Detail

We are going to rotate around various mountain bike trails in Virginia and maybe Maryland this season. This week is at Meadowood which has a mix of beginner to medium level trails. If you are interested but uncertain, come on out - many of us push our bikes over/up some terrain features at times. No shame in that as long as you are having fun!

A mountain bike with at least front suspension is recommended. (NO SKINNY TIRES / ROAD BIKES).
If you are experienced mountain biker you can ride whatever type of bike you are comfortable with. But if you are experienced mountain biker please align your expectations - these are relatively casual pace rides with periodic stops to regroup.

Since we will wander the trails in ad hoc manner, there is no ride with GPS route.

When coming to the meetup you do so voluntarily and are ready and able to participate in the ride as described under the conditions of the day.

Be on time for the "pre-ride" preparation. If you do not attend the pre-ride preparation you will not be allowed to participate on the ride. Again, no exceptions.
