YOUR tax deductible contribution -- whatever the amount -- can make a difference! CHADD NoVA/DC, run entirely by volunteers, reaches thousands of people each year through its support groups, monthly "Understanding ADHD" Lecture Series, annual ADHD Awareness Month Conference, and participation in local events hosted by public and private schools and other non-profit organizations. We are honored to be named the 2017 CHADD Affiliate of the Year Award -- and need your help to continue to support local families affected by ADHD. Thank you for your generosity.

Fairfax Adult ADHD Support Group

Online event

This Adults with ADHD support group will meet on Sundays via Zoom. At this time it seems we are all going through some changes in our lives. Change can be very unsettling, especially for thos of us with ADHD. So for now this group will focus on where we are at this time, and possibilities for where we'd like to go in the future. We can support each other as our common ADHD struggles show up. Any questions? Please send a message and we will get right back to you!

DC Adult ADHD Success Group Topic: Comorbidities

Online event

UPDATE: This support group is meeting online through Zoom. Hi Everyone! This week, in addition to checking in about any existing or ongoing challenges, we will share about any challenges specific to comorbid disorders. Have you experienced depression, anxiety, substance abuse, obsessive compulsive disorder, oppositional disorder or any other psychological issue? Do you think that in some ways relates to your ADHD? In the discussion portion we will share our experience and coping strategies. ALSO, PREPARE FOR THE BODY DOUBLE EXERCISE! 🎉 This is where we all choose a task that we have been putting off to work on for 10-15 minutes, then check in about it in the discussion portion. Decide what you’re going to do before the meeting and let us know in your check in. It works, it really does! This support group will meet the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month. We will have a mindfulness exercise and a different ADD/ADHD related topic each time to lead the discussion. Looking forward to seeing you there. *Please note that at this time this is for adults with ADD or ADHD only. If you are a parent or family member, there are groups available just for you and those groups have been thriving in the DMV area for some time. I’m hoping we can give them a run for their money!
