Intro to NextCloud
(From the NextCloud page on Wikipedia) - Nextcloud is a suite of client-server software for creating and using file hosting services. It is functionally similar to Dropbox, although Nextcloud is free and open-source, allowing anyone to install and operate it on a private server. John Franklin will present an Intro to NextCloud talk. More details to come. And before John tells us about NextCloud, Sid Ramesh has a few things the has created using 3d printing that he will share. In early 2019 he will possibly give a presentation on 3d printing in Linux. He noted that there are a couple of Loudon County Libraries with 3d printers that will print for a small (weight based) fee.

What we're about

Northern Virginia Linux Users Group (NovaLUG) is the oldest in the Northern VA area - probably in the whole of US. Established 1993, the group is still going strong talking about Linux and anything Open Source. The group meets once a month to socialize and "geek out" on different topics, and in between mailinglists are busy connecting people to solutions, answers to questions and just people interested in Linux to other people with similar interests. For more information, consult

If there is a topic you would like to learn more about or would like to present to the group, please use the following form:
