Do you love the outdoors, being in nature, taking the time to breathe the air and experience the world around you? Do you like to hike, but sometimes not with a capital "H"? This club might just be for you! While power-walking and strenuous hikes are fun and have their place in our lives too, sometimes you just want to stop and smell the flowers.
This club is for the person who just wants to go for a gentle, restorative walk, to see and commune with the verdant beauty of our area, maybe take some pictures of the lovely environment around them and share the memories. The goal is to periodically schedule a variety of different peaceful and relaxing yet also healthy and invigorating walks and related events. Our walks will be approximately 1 to 2 hours covering a range of distances up to 5.0 miles at various sites in different natural environments throughout Northern Virginia, while incorporating various meditative practices and exercises to maximize our experience.
