Stories and Ice Cream at the WITA Celebration!
Details
Thursday, August 24
Doors at 6:30 PM, readings will start at 7 PM
Julia Davis Park (bandshell)
Join us for an evening of fiction stories and poems and free ice cream!
Writers in the Attic is The Cabin’s annual contest and publication designed for Idaho writers, both emerging and established, to publish work related to a one-word theme. With submissions blind-judged by a local writer of acclaim, selected poems and fiction are published in a yearly anthology.
This year, submissions were written around the theme “Three.”
Come listen to some of the authors read from their stories and poems. Each featured author will receive a copy of the anthology and additional copies will be available for sale. The Cabin will also be announcing the theme for next year’s WITA contest - you won’t want to miss it!
The Cabin will provide free ice cream from Stella’s and Lost Grove will be onsite with beer, cider, and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.
Don’t forget to pack your lawn chairs or blankets!
We will meet in the bandshell area around 6:30 and I will have a meetup sign. I will also leave an event comment describing where we are sitting.
