Indie Book Store Crawl: Walking around town buying books - Support Local!

Let’s go on an Indie book store crawl! I’ve put together a fun itinerary that *maybe* includes riding the Philly Phlash and walking (lots of walking!). We will visit multiple independent book stores and also some really cool bookish spots in town! So strap on your book bag and join me for an afternoon of meandering around Philly doing bookish stuff. Limit 12. (Actually!! Leave your book bag at home. I just ordered the most adorable Novel Tourists totes 🤩for everyone on the crawl!* I think they will become collector’s items! 😉 Yay Merch!)

The Adventure:

I *think* I’ve planned it out okay, but don’t expect perfection! It may be we change some things up as we go based on time, etc. But, basically, we’re going to meet at Talula’s Daily for some pre-crawl sustenance and end at The Olde Bar (formerly Book Binders) for dinner. In between, we’re going to *try* to visit each of the below amaaaazing literary places and books stores. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate National Read a Book Day (September 6), Buy a Book Day (September 7), International Literacy Day (September 8) and Read a New Book Month (all September)!

Parking: If you are driving park somewhere in between the Atheneum and The Olde Bar.

Walking: There will be lots and lots of walking! At least a mile, maybe almost 2-3 till all is said and done. We will take either Philly Phlash or the bus as needed.

Spots are filled first pay, first goes. There are only 12 spots. Pay on your own for your books and meals (bring small bills to make payment easier!).
