A wonderfully entertaining coming-of-age story, Northanger Abbey is often referred to as Jane Austen's "Gothic parody." Decrepit castles, locked rooms, mysterious chests, cryptic notes, and tyrannical fathers give the story an uncanny air, but one with a decidedly satirical twist.

**** This meetup will also contain activities to plan the books for the rest of 2026. If you'd like to participate, plan to spend a bit of extra time to join the discussion after we are done with the book. If you can bring a laptop to help with the tasks, that would be great but is not required. Thanks.

If anyone knows how to reformat images to fit the Meetup.com requirements, that is definitely something I will need help with!!
