This group is for CHILDFREE and CHILDLESS couples who are married, or partnered and are embracing having a childfree lifestyle permanently. This group is not for parents, couples who plan to have children, or empty nesters. There are a lot of other groups for you. This is for completely childfree couples who plan to stay childfree by choice or are childfree or childless by circumstance.
If you are unsure that this group is for you, please join us for one of our virtual meet and greets and get to know others and ask questions. The goal of this group is to create an additional social outlet and opportunities for like-minded couples to connect and make friends who are also childfree. The events can be dinners, brunches, classes, parties, happy hours, etc. You name it, we might do it!
We are based in South Lyon, so our events could be anywhere from Novi to Plymouth to Ann Arbor to Milford. If you are interested in organizing an event in these areas or another, please let us know.
RULES FOR THE GROUP
- You must have a picture that shows your face.
- The events are for childfree or childless couples, not for individuals to come without their partner
- You must cancel 24 hours before an event, or you will be marked as no-show.
- 3 no-shows in a 6 month period will result in removal from the group.
- You are responsible for paying your bills at any event.
- You are responsible for transportation to and from the event. Since there is no official vetting of members of this group, please do not carpool with complete strangers by asking for rides from someone you have never met. Let’s stay safe!
- Please drink responsibly.

Pottery class

Join us for a relaxed and fun introduction to working on the pottery wheel and learn how to make and paint your very own pottery with one pound of raw clay. Our instructors will guide you through the whole process step-by-step, including how to open your centered clay, pull a cylinder, and shape your pottery. Afterwards, you’ll paint your pottery while it’s spinning on the wheel using our many glaze options.
Sessions last around 1.5 hours, and are open to ages 12 years and older. $50 per person. Pottery pieces will be ready for pick up around 2 weeks after the session.
-Short fingernails are recommended for a better experience
-Please be on time. Anyone that arrives 5+ mins late may not be allowed to proceed given the step-by-step nature of the class.
-No refunds will be made once a class is booked. To reschedule or receive a studio credit, you must email the studio (hello@wheelscapepottery.com) at least 48 hours before the start of the class so we have enough time to resell your seats. Rescheduling is not permitted less than 48 hours before the start of the class, but seats can be transferred to someone else.
-We reserve the right to reschedule if less than 4 people sign-up for a class.2 attendees
Candlelight Concert- Valentine's Day special
First Presbyterian Church, 1432 Washtenaw Avenue,, Ann Arbor, MI, USLet's enjoy a candlelight concert for pre-Valentine's Day. Let's plan to meet at 6pm so that we can get seating. We are booked in Zone B. I suggest buying tickets now if you want to go, as they tend to sell out quickly.
