Torrey Pines via Gliderport and Black's Beach Trail followed by dinner.

Hike Details:

Torrey Pines via Gliderport and Black's Beach Trail is 4.5 mile trail located near La Jolla, CA that features a cave and is good for all skill levels. The trail is good for hiking, walking and available all year round.

Our walking speed will be normal, so all skill levels are welcome.

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve charges a fee (varies depending on demand) to park in the main parking area. Visitors may also park along Torrey Pines Road for free and walk in.

The north part of this trail enters Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. This trail begins with a steep hike down the sandstone cliffs that connect the Torrey Pines Gliderport with Black’s Beach. Continue north along Black’s Beach, round the path carved into the cliff face, then walk up the stairs that connect the shore to Torrey Pines.

Take the trail that loops around such sights as Yucca Point, Razor Point, and Red Butte, or feel free to explore more. Once you’ve seen your fill, return the way you came.
