NSLondon 2023.3 at Monzo
Details
At NSLondon, we have one more thing this June! We’ll be back for a big event generously hosted by Monzo. It‘s an exciting time to be a developer on Apple platforms, which is perfect for meeting up and chatting about Vision Pro, SwiftUI, Swift macros, SwiftData and more.
Doors open at 18:30, with talks from 19:00. Food and drinks will be available. After the event, you’re welcome to join us at a nearby pub if you like.
We’ll have three talks:
Scaling iOS at Bumble
Jonathan Crooke
Jonathan will share share tips and tricks learned from migrating Bumble’s codebase away from traditional Xcode projects. He's been investigating using tools such as Swift Package Manager, Tuist and Bazel as solutions for managing such large codebases.
SwiftUI at scale
Jacob Bartlett
This talk is aimed at anyone who’s tried out SwiftUI and loves it, but doesn’t yet have the confidence to go all-in. This talk offers an opinionated guide to structuring large, complex, multi-module SwiftUI apps, informed by Jacob’s experience using it exclusively since 2020.
Swift Playgrounds in the classroom with Bouncer
Freddie Nicholson
Freddie will show us how Swift Playgrounds in the classroom can inspire and engage students in education, demonstrating that everyone can code and create exciting AR prototypes.
ℹ️ Having two regular events this month is a special bonus. After this, we plan to return to our more typical schedule of events roughly every three months. If you’d like to speak at a future event, please get in touch — this helps us put on events more often.
