Details

Welcome to our first event of 2024, hosted by Trainline!

Doors open from 6pm, and at 6:30pm we'll have a short introduction from ourselves and Trainline, with two main talks for the evening thereafter. We'll finish by 8:30pm, and there will be refreshments available too.

For those wishing to socialise afterwards we'll be heading to a nearby bar after the event (details will shared on the night).

Rewiring your brain, with Test Driven Thinking
Phil Nash
We all say we should write tests, or at least we should write more of them.
But we never seem to have the time, and our focus is on the actual problems we're trying to solve. Nobody wants to be bogged down by busy work.
What if all of that was wrong?
What if tests could save you time, improve your focus - and even be fun!
In this talk we'll dig into some of the psychology of how we work, how we improve, and. how we can harness a test driven thinking approach to supercharge our productivity!

Redefining Crypto in Revolut 10: A Case of Pragmatic iOS Development
Marcel Mierzejewski
My talk will go deep into our journey. I'll share key metrics, our strategies for measuring success, and the extent of code changes needed for this update. I'll also discuss how we met our crazy deadlines through a pragmatic approach, offering insights that could benefit the community.

- Getting There -
Trainline are based at 120 Holborn, London EC1N 2TD, near Chancery Lane tube on the Central Line.

- One More Thing... -
With the imminent launch of Apple Vision Pro we'd love to have a talk on the subject in a future event this year, so if you have an idea for a talk you'd like to present on this topic (or indeed any other) then please get in touch with us, using our speaker form.
