Most professionals are told to network more.

Meet more people.
Grow your connections.
Build your personal brand.

But there’s a bigger question:
What are we actually creating with the people we meet?

For this NST Professionals Discussion Circle, we’re going beyond exchanging contacts and adding people on LinkedIn.
We’ll explore what can happen when professionals bring together their different skills, knowledge, networks, resources and perspectives — and whether trying to do everything ourselves can sometimes limit what we are able to create.

### This won’t be your usual sit-down discussion.

Expect an interactive challenge, teamwork, interesting decisions, a little friendly competition and a chance to put collaboration into practice before we unpack what happened.

We’ll get into questions like:

  • Are professionals sometimes too focused on being self-sufficient?
  • Can collaboration help us create opportunities that would be difficult to create alone?
  • What makes someone a valuable person to collaborate with?
  • Why do so many professional connections never become anything more?
  • What gets in the way — trust, competition, control, ego or fear of sharing opportunities?
  • How can we move from simply knowing people to actually building with people?
  • And what role can collaboration play in creating value, opportunity and wealth?

### Who is this for?

Professionals who want more from networking than:
“What do you do?”
followed by:
“Let’s connect on LinkedIn.”

If you enjoy meeting new people, exchanging ideas, thinking differently and getting involved rather than just listening, this one is for you.
There may also be a few surprises — and some souvenirs up for grabs. 👀
Come ready to contribute, collaborate and see what happens when the right people bring the right strengths together.
