Are you a critical thinker? Can you hold multiple discordant perspectives in your mind simultaneously without forcing yourself to commit to one? Do you believe that “two things” can be true?! Nuanced Discussions focuses on dialectical deep-dive discussion engaging Millennials, Generation Z (aka Zoomers) and anyone younger. The emphasis is on collaborative, investigative discussions, not intellectual debate.
Your year of birth must be 1980 or later. We host Millennials and all younger generations. This is a rule, not a suggestion.
Core Principles
Tune In & Connect (Active Listening): We listen to each other with intent and take some interest in our peers.
Be Present & Engaged (Mindfulness): Let's put those distractions aside and give our full attention to the people and moments we share.
Stay Humble & Open (Humility): We're all on a journey, and no one here is above anyone else. Be mindful of your interactions – if conversations seem to consistently revolve around you, it might be time to adjust. Don’t dominate, elevate!
Code of Conduct
- Unsolicited contact - Please do not message attendees who you have not yet gotten to know in person.
- No business promotion or solicitation - Your best marking tool is your rapport! Build it first, and you will earn people's trust.
- Keep your RSVP up to date. No-shows will be tracked and bans issued if they accumulate.
- Please avoid group chats or non-event related communications in the public comment sections of the events or group.
- Unsolicited romantic advances or the like will not be tolerated! And this applies to anyone of any gender or background. Understand the difference between considerate, civilized connection versus inappropriate approaches. “No” means no!
