What we’re about
Nürnberg Data Science is a group for talented and experienced data scientists interested in sharing ideas, knowledge and expertise. We believe in open exchange, practical insights, and learning from each other to grow as professionals. Together, we explore real-world applications of data science, discuss new trends and technologies, and support each other in solving challenging problems.
By connecting with local companies, universities, and tech communities, we aim to contribute to a strong and innovative data ecosystem in the Nuremberg metropolitan region and beyond—throughout Franconia. A vibrant data science community benefits everyone: it accelerates innovation in industry, fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, and creates opportunities for both newcomers and experts. When knowledge flows freely, startups can grow faster, established companies stay competitive, and researchers find real-world partners for their ideas.
By strengthening the data ecosystem in Franconia, we help the region position itself as a future-oriented hub for AI, analytics, and digital transformation—driving value not just for individual members, but for the entire economy and society.

The fact that most knowledge is never documented has long been a problem in knowledge management. In the age of AI, this issue becomes even more critical: companies can only leverage AI for productivity gains, if they can provide their company knowledge to AI.
Armin explores the underlying reasons why knowledge management fails in many organizations and outlines a vision for smarter information sharing in AI-driven companies. He presents the philosophy behind complemental.ai, a startup building an end-to-end AI platform that helps companies discover, preserve, and leverage their knowledge (including the kind that isn't captured in existing data) using proactive AI agents that know whom to ask when data alone can't answer a question. The talk includes a hands-on demo of the product.
Speaker: Armin Zoike (complemental.ai)
Armin Zoike led the AI strategy and organizational transformation of the Go-to-marktet (G2M) activities of IU Internationale Hochschule, as Head of AI in G2M, driving intake in remote students and building the domain from scratch.
