AI Agents in Action: Building the AI Workforce with AWS

The year 2025 marks a fundamental shift in how we architect solutions—at AWS re:Invent, CEO Matt Garman introduced Inference as the fourth building block alongside Compute, Storage, and Databases. In this session, I'll share real-world insights from implementing AI-native solutions at Belden Inc., where we transformed network management by deploying AI Agents as "digital employees,". We'll explore why Inference changes everything (from UI-first to Outcome-first architecture), practical patterns for building AI Agents with AWS Bedrock and Lambda. This isn't about adding AI features to products—it's about building AI-native solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes by changing way of how we think about software development.

Andrii Melashchenko, PhD, is an AI Innovation Lead at Belden Inc., where he develops AI-native solutions for operational technology network management and won the CEO Innovation Award for implementing AI Agents that function as "digital employees,".
