End Your Performance Anxiety with ColdFusion Scalability & Caching

Details

Our first CFML User Group of the year, and it is a talk Denny was not able to give last year at CFSummit, so he is going to give it to us. Also have some new Swag for our user group:

Is your code taking too long to execute? Do you frequently field calls from bosses or clients complaining that your application suffers from poor performance? Do you want your application to be more responsive and handle more load? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you'll want to participate in this meetup to learn how to vertically scale your applications using caching techniques and functionality. You will learn:

  • The difference between vertical and horizontal scaling with ColdFusion

  • What caching is and how to implement it for vertical scaling

  • How, where and when to implement caching to improve application performance

  • Built-in and 3rd party caching techniques and technologies you can use every day

  • New cache functionality in the latest releases of Adobe ColdFusion and Lucee

This presentation will be focusing on real world examples of problems and how caching solutions are implemented in code. No prior experience with caching is necessary - we will explore caching from the ground up and cover implementation of built-in functions you can use right away in your daily code.
