Columbia Island Marina (Rating: D)

Meet at Crystal City Metro street level (38.858, -77.0516) and walk a total of 5.2 miles out and back to Columbia Island (between the Pentagon and the Potomac). The walking route will be on paths through Longbridge Park and on sidewalks near the lagoon between the Pentagon and Columbia Island Marina. The pace will be 2 to 2.5 miles per hour.

Pack a lunch to eat the picnic tables at the Island Time Bar and Grill. The restaurant is open and offers lunch options (as well as beer and wine). There are tables outside and it is a great place to relax and enjoy the conversation and the views. We will stay there for less than an hour or so and then return.

If you want to join us by driving directly to the Marina where there is plenty of parking. Underground parking is available in Crystal City and is free on weekends. Garage entrance is down 18th Street from the metro.
