Hemlock Overlook on Bull Run/Occoquan Trail (Rating: C)

An 8 mile hike with 800' of elevation change. Starting from the parking lot outside Hemlock Overlook Regional Park, we'll hike 4 miles to a Civil War earthworks, have a snack break and then return. Trail may be muddy from recent rains and there are some rocky stretches. Rolling hills with no major climbs. The pace will be about 2.5 mph.
Rating: C. The hike is right on the B/C line. It is 8 miles of ups and downs totaling 800 feet of elevation gain.
Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to sign-in. We will leave promptly at 9:30 a.m.

DIRECTIONS: We will meet at the parking lot at the end of Yates Ford Road near Clifton. 13249 Yates Ford Road, 20124. Note: do not use the 13220 Yates Ford Road address.
