This is a 9.5 mile hike with 600' of elevation gain. We will begin at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts where we will do a 2 mile loop around the park. After that, we will take various paved streets through subdivisions and trails including W&OD Bike Trail and the Fairfax Cross County trail passing by the outside of Meadowlark Gardens. About half way through we will stop along the trail for a lunch. We hike at a pace of 2.5-3.0 mph while moving. Several stream crossings required.
Water levels may affect the scheduling or route of this hike.
