South Run to Burke Lake Loop (Rating: C)

Details:
Burke Lake is one of the best local parks to enjoy fall foliage. This photo was taken on 11-2-25. This is a 7.5 mile mostly flat hike from South Run Rec Center to Burke Lake. The connector from South Run is paved. The Burke Lake loop is mostly natural surface.

Meet: MEET AT THE END OF THE PARKING LOT - NEAR GREEN ROOF BUILDING - see map below. Please arrive a few minutes early to get signed in. We start promptly at 9:00 am.

Pace: 2.5-3 mph when moving.

Restrooms: South Run Rec Center has restrooms, but it is NOT at the same parking lot where we are meeting. The restroooms are located in the Field House, which is the large building that you pass before you get to our meeting spot. There will also be a restroom in Burke Lake about 3/4 of the way.
