What we’re about

NW Dance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to inspire the art and joy of non-competitive social dance. We are not a membership organization. All are welcome at our events to experience the magic of dance and to build their skills, coordination, and confidence.

We offer a variety of dance workshops at the Swedish Club including swing, waltz, nightclub 2 step, zydeco, west cost swing, coutry 2 step, and even Forro', a Brazilian dance.

Plus we host live music dances highlighting local bands on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, generally at The Leif Lounge in the Leif Erikson Hall, with a new intimate ambience: round tables, a smaller dance floor and softer lighting to promote meeting and mingling with other dancers.
In other words, a perfect setting for dancing, conversation, intimacy, and connection!
**We offer a cash bar with wine, beer, and sparkling water at the lounge bar**

We also offer Dancing for the Ages, a group of volunteer dancers who meet at retirement homes around the Puget Sound area to bring the joy of social dance to seniors, many of whom once danced to the big bands of the twentieth century and haven’t had anyone to dance with in years.
