Founders Panel: History (& Future) of the Communities Movement

This Memorial Day, join founders from PNW communities and beyond to remember stories of those who worked hard to create a model for others to follow.

Nancy Lanphear and Marilyn from Songaia will be joined by Jonathan Betz-Zall from Bright Morningside Community in Seattle, who has also founded communities on the east coast. Facilitated by Dr. Thomas Griggs, NICA Board Member and Community mediator, and hosted by other board members Sarah, Edan, Reuben, and Rob.

We'll hear stories about community founders and what it takes on a legal and financial level, and whether or not they would or could do it all over again. We'll also ask the panel where they think the intentional communities movement is headed, and look back at the history to see what they best thing would be to focus on in 2025 or the near future.
