Dog Mt. Loop

Start off the New Year with a challenging hike on the Washington side of the Gorge near Hood River. The hike is about 7.5 miles with about 2800 feet of elevation gain. Expect temperatures to start in the mid thirties and rise to low forties during the day. Pace will be moderate at not more than 2.5 mph. We will be going up the Augspurger Trail and going down the more popular trail to the east. A National Forest pass is needed at the trailhead. Meet at the trailhead at 9 AM.
