Efi is head of engineering at CloudEx, helping the public sector to move to the cloud.
and previously was a VP R&D at Lumigo, a monitoring and debugging platform for AWS serverless applications, which is built on a 100% serverless backend.

As an early and enthusiastic adopter of serverless technology, Efi has been racking up the air miles as a frequent speaker at serverless events around the globe. He also contributes to open source projects like lumigo-cli and writes regularly on the topic for the Lumigo blog.

Efi began his journey into serverless as head of engineering at Coneuron, building its entire stack on Lambda, S3, API Gateway, and Firebase, while perfecting the art of helping developers transition to a serverless mindset. He has more than a decade of experience as a developer, team leader, group manager, and director in the healthcare, mobile, security, and agriculture industries.

Description -
Join us for a workshop where you’ll learn to build a mailing list application with AWS SAM and serverless services. You’ll gain hands-on experience with the following AWS services:

* AWS Lambda: Run your application code without provisioning or managing servers. We’ll use Lambda to implement the core functionality of the mailing list application.
* Amazon DynamoDB: A fast and flexible NoSQL database service for all applications that need consistent, single-digit millisecond latency at any scale. We’ll use DynamoDB to store mailing list data.
* Amazon API Gateway: Create, deploy, and manage APIs at any scale. We’ll use API Gateway to expose our Lambda functions as HTTP endpoints that the mailing list application can consume.
* Amazon S3: Store and retrieve any amount of data from anywhere. We’ll use S3 to store static assets for the mailing list application.
* AWS SAM: Build, test, and deploy serverless applications using AWS CloudFormation. We’ll use SAM to define and deploy the infrastructure for our mailing list application.

Note: Please ensure that you have AWS SAM and Python 3.9 installed on your laptop before attending the workshop. An AWS account is required.
