The issue is what to do when world population reaches certain levels that threaten the existence of Humanity as we know it? You could talk about conspiracy theories, but homosexuality could be used as a weapon to reduce the number of children being born. Robert Malthus spoke about late marriages to reduce the number of chidren, wars, epidemics and starvation as a way to keep numbers under control.
