Blockchain and Self-Sovereign Identity: Proposed Solutions to Legacy Identity Systems

Join us to hear Ed Zabar, founder and CEO of Verif-y, discuss self-sovereign identity and Verif-y’s blockchain solution to legacy identity systems.

The Equifax and other data breaches highlight the need to find solutions to “broken” legacy identity systems. Biometrics technology will help, but more foundational changes are be needed. Blockchain technology solutions could power the next generation of systems offering true self-sovereign identity by giving each individual control over their own digital identity. Verif-y is a new kind of user-centric platform where companies, educators and individuals can directly exchange automatically-verified professional credentials. The idea is to give the ownership of the verified credentials back to the user (and away from inaccurate and inefficient background check [and credit check] companies) so that they can control what is shared about them. We hope you will join us for a lively discussion about blockchain solutions for self-sovereign identity.
