Jenny Menna

Director, Stakeholder Engagement and Critical Infrastructure Resilience

Ms. Menna is a nationally recognized cybersecurity leader with substantial achievements in building large-scale information technology and security programs across government and the private sector. As one of DHS’ leaders for cybersecurity, Ms. Menna has been instrumental in building the broad security partnership between the federal government and industry. She has been a leading strategist for significant government programs such as the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative and the Executive Order to improve cyber infrastructure. Ms. Menna is currently the Director of the Stakeholder Engagement and Cyber Infrastructure Resilience Division at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which includes the new Critical Infrastructure Cyber Community Voluntary Program. Her Divisionacts as DHS’ primary point of engagement and coordination for cybersecurity and national security/emergency preparedness (NS/EP) communications initiatives for industry and state and local government partners. Ms. Menna leads the development of risk assessments and the delivery of key mitigation and information sharing capabilities that are designed to reduce risks to the Nation’s critical cyber infrastructure. She also leads DHS’ cybersecurity education, outreach, and awareness initiatives.

Previously, she directed the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team and the Critical Infrastructure Cyber Protection & Awareness branch within the DHS Office of Cybersecurity and Communications. Prior to joining DHS, she held a variety of leadership roles for a large systems integration firm. Menna received both her M.A. and B.A. from the University of Chicago. She is a graduate of the initial cadre of DHS Fellows and was selected as a member of the Senior Executive Service in 2009.

How Can Public Wi-Fi Networks Present Risk to Your Corporate Wi-Fi Network?

Mobile devices are constantly in use and often connect to any available Wi-Fi network, in many cases public networks that are NOT very secure. Spyders’ Chief Technology Officer, Adam Mansour will demonstrate how your communication can be intercepted and ultimately your information stolen the next time you connect to a public Wi-Fi network. Adam will discuss the implications of a compromised mobile device, the potential impact it can have to your corporate Wi-Fi network, and walk through techniques to mitigate the risks.

He has built a strong reputation as an IT security expert delivering everything from ethical hacking services to the design and integration of complex multi-product security solutions.

In 2009, Adam spearheaded a team of security software developers in the design of a standards based mobile device authentication solution to address a gap in the network security market. The solution, IntelliGO, has since evolved to become a security focused platform that integrates network access control and mobile device management capabilities into a single platform that is adopted in enterprises of all sizes and in all verticals across North America. IntelliGO offers IT admins the control, visibility and integration needed to securely enable the mobile enterprise.
